Arranged & Performed by: Michael Hyde @ M. Hyde Production Studio

Recording & Mixing Engineer: Louis Harden Jr. @ Spaced Out Studio

Special thanks to Little Belize Restaurant and staff for their warm hospitality and use of their dining area, and to Miss Kinji Nicole, who brought the role of “Suzy” to life with grace and charm.

This project is more than a video—it is a celebration of Belizean culture, rhythm, and resilience. As a lifelong supporter of Brukdong, I was honored to stand behind Cocono Bwai, a young man carrying forward the legacy of our music with passion and authenticity.

🌟 About Cocono Bwai
Born Cecil Jenkins Jr. in Belize City on November 22, 1996, Cocono Bwai grew up under the guidance of his grandmother, Racquel Baptist, who instilled in him discipline and pride in his heritage. His journey into music began in 2014 while attending Wesley College, where he won the Junior Song Competition, sparking his commitment to the art form.

From those early days, Cocono Bwai has become a torchbearer of Brukdong, the traditional Belizean sound pioneered by legends like Mr. Peters and Boom & Chime. His performances are often described as electrifying—channeling ancestral rhythms with a modern twist that speaks to both elders and youth. By 17, he had already established himself as a voice of the new generation, earning recognition as the Prince of Brukdong.

His songs, including “Proud Belizean” and now “FI Dis Christmas,” reflect not only musical talent but also deep cultural pride. Cocono Bwai embodies the spirit of Belize—resilient, joyful, and rooted in tradition while embracing innovation.
