Eddie 'Seferino' Coleman

WHEN SEFERINO ROCKED THE BELIZEAN AIRWAVES!
by Bilal Morris

The legendary Belizean broadcaster and comic, the late Eddie 'Seferino' Coleman stands out today as Belize's most entertaining broadcaster and comedian of all times. Seferino, as he is known among Belizeans of the 1960's, 70's and 80's, rose to become one of Belize's most articulate broadcasters during the days of the defunked Belize broadcasting institution, Radio Belize.
Not only could Coleman matched some of the best in Caribbean broadcasting being that he was a natural at it, but he could have stood shoulder to shoulder with some of the best Caribbean comedians of his time. Terribly funny, Coleman had the ability to move from serious journalistic presentations to an incredibly entertaining wrap-around that made him Belize's most entertaining broadcaster. He stole the hearts of many Belizeans who grew up under his voice on Radio Belize when radio became the sole medium of communication in Belize in the 1960's and 70's.
Belizean Legends presents this most revealing audio expose on the legendary Belizean entertainer captured in Los Angeles in 1987 at the Westmore Ballroom during one of his frequent visits to the Los Angeles Belizean Community.
A special thanks to Belize Music World through the courtesy of Patrick Barrow who documented the legendary Belizean broadcaster and comedian live at a Mother's Day event in Los Angeles. In this rare appearance in the Belizean diaspora, Seferino acknowledged the importance of the Belizean diaspora in the development of Belize, and brought nostalgia back to Belizeans who showed him much love.
The incredibly funny and entertaining Belizean legend, Sefe, is greatly missed for his wit and extraordinary talent as one who communicated a common theme of unity among Belizeans from all walks of life.

Justin Williams!

“BELIZE'S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPION”
THE RISE OF A WORLD CLASS CYCLING SPEED MACHINE!
By Bilal Morris

It is a very exciting and marvelous thought that Belize's new Cross Country cycling champion, Justin Williams, could hold incredible hopes in representing Belize in all world class cycling classics like the Olympics, Pan American Games, Tour de France, and many other staged games in the cycling world.
The Belizean-American cycling athlete has a courage and a passion to meet any cycling feat, and when looking at his outstanding record of achievements in the state of California, he stands out among all the present day Belizean cyclist both at home and abroad as the best that Belize will ever see right now. There is no way that Belize should allow this gem of an athlete and his strong passion for all things Belizean to get out of the country's data base of athletic recruits that Belize has been blessed with since Belizean-American NBA star, Milton Palacio, and his Belizean ballers won the gold medal for Belize in the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1999.
But Belize has been blessed with such Belizean diasporas’ athletic gifts since Nigel Miguel, another chip off the famous Miguel legends, became a basketball star on the famous UCLA Bruins in the 1980's, and later with the legendary Marion Jones, who became a dynamic Belizean-American athlete, who though had never represented Belize in the Olympics or any other international competitions, but nevertheless shared herself unselfishly with the land of her mother's birth, Belize.
Belize and Belizeans have their hopes set very high right today on Justin Williams who has acquired a large amount of cycling athletic capital, and who in listening to him intensely off the record, has a very organized life in cycling that he intends to implement and to achieve at the highest levels possible.
The most promising outlook in terms of this cycling phonon future as a professional and world class athlete is his incredible dominance in the world cycling popular velodrome, and his hopes that one day he can represent Belize in any international cycling classic like the Olympics, and win those races for Belize where those like Cross Country cycling great Lindy Gillette failed to compete well in those very races in the velodrome in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Let's give full respect and support to this rising world class cycling speed machine, Justin Williams. There may be big things ahead in his athletic representation for Belize.

GU'YE POSSE!

THE MOST PULSATING PUNTA ROCK BAND IN LOS ANGELES!
by Bilal Morris

The moving pulsating sound of the Belize Punta Rock band in Los Angeles, Gu'ye Posse, is probably the best thing there is out there right now when it comes to Punta Rock music.
There is not a sound equal to it since the band has kept the music unchanged within its original art form while making it entertaining, funky, and danceable. A tight and rhythmic flow of traditional Garifuna beat erupts from the clash of the combination of guitar, drums, shakas, and call and response choral typical of Garifuna cultural music.
But the band is also entertaining in its performance, and many Belizean music lovers are demanding that Gu'ye Posse plays at their weddings, parties, birthdays, and festivities.
Highly underrated by most Belizean music standards, Gu'ye Posse brings justice to a disappearing Punta Rock rhythm that has been watered down lately by hip hop, reggae, and other American musical patterns.
Gu'ye Posse, a band that has saved Belizean music in the art form called Punta Rock.

Miguel Cycling Champions

MIGUEL CYCLING CHAMPIONSTRIBUTE TO THE MIGUEL CYCLING CHAMPIONS!
by Bilal Morris

The expose highlights the greatness of the Miguel cycling family, and the roots of the legendary Belizean cyclists that now includes the names, Justin Wlliams and Corey Williams. These two additional Belizean cyclists are now an addititon to the long line of the Miguel cycling family, and we shall see more wins by these two newest rivals to have come to dominate Belize's Annaul Holy Saturday Cross Country this year, 2015. The two brothers are connected to the Miguel family of cyclists through their mother, Desiree Lewis, who is the niece of Arthur, Edward, Johinto and Rudy Miguel. Their father, Caliman Willaims is also a renowmed Belizean cyclist. It has been a historical feat as Justin and Corey Williams joins their ucles, John 'Johnito' and Rudy Miguel in Belize's cycling Hall of Fame. Belizean Legends honors these champions.
